Building Your Bad Credit Back To Good

Building your bad credit back to good is not as hard as it seems, the biggest thing to know is that you need a plan and you’ve got to work your plan and stay on track.  Once you know the formula and you stay on track your credit score will spring back to life within just a few months.

In order to build your credit back to the top you need to re-establish good credit.  But, what does that mean exactly?

Well, it means you have to have credit, use credit, and show that you won’t abuse credit.  You need credit lines, you need to keep the balances low, and you need to make all of your monthly payments on time without a hitch, every month.  If you can do this, your score will skyrocket within just a few short months, the time will fly by and you’ll be sitting pretty.

So, how do you do this?  Well, if you just went through a bankruptcy (or other financial problems) and getting credit is difficult a great place to start rebuilding your credit is with an auto loan.  Didn’t think you could get an auto loan with credit problems?  Well, that’s just not true at all.  In fact, as was mentioned, this is one place that you can jump back into the credit game pretty easily.

As long as you have a job, a residence, and a driver’s license you should be able to get some kind of auto financing.  And when you do you’re going to make all of your payments on time every month, right?  This will re-establish good credit as time passes because lenders will see that you’re not such a bad investment after all, they will see that you pay your bills.

Other ways to increase your credit score would be to keep balances on your credit cards low, you should have no more than 30 – 40 percent of the maximum credit limit on your credit cards at any one time.
But, you should attempt to get credit cards, not having them is worse.  You need to show that you have credit and you have to use it extremely wisely, that’s the trick.

Try to increase the credit limits on your credit cards so that the maximum limit is raised, but don’t use that extra credit, hang back and let it work its magic.

Other things you can do is simply pay your rent on time, and apply for more lines of credit, however you’ll want to do this slowly so that your credit is not pulled too often.  Only apply and reapply for new credit every few months.  The most important thing to remember is that getting credit and showing that you’re a good investment will bring your bad credit back and getting an auto loan is a good place to start, building your bad credit back to good should not be a daunting task, just form your plan and stick with it.
